Les prisonniers s'unissent devant la menace et tentent de trouver ce qui les lie. Le Chat s'amuse à semer la discorde entre eux et à joncher leurs réflexions de pièges. Mais le temps file : il faut commencer à trouver un plan d'évasion.

Le plan des prisonniers échoue. Un à un, ils doivent affronter leurs pires peurs, sous l'oeil amusé de leur bourreau. La discorde règne, mais quand Alain s'effondre, ils tentent tout de même une deuxième évasion.

Le Chat accroît la pression psychologique sur les prisonniers. Ceux-ci doivent se battre contre leur ennemi commun mais essayent aussi de cacher leurs propres secrets. Leur geôlier finit par commettre une erreur fatale.

Alors que les prisonniers ont une vraie chance de s'évader, ils sont ralentis par leur épuisement physique et mental. Le temps est compté et des trahisons internes provoquent de nouvelles catastrophes.

Ben Marceau, a general news journalist, has returned to her home town of Nantes. She is searching for the child who her parents took away from her when she was a teenager. Her work takes her into the heart of three gripping and emotional investigations that raise questions about family ties.
In Tréport, graves have been desecrated. The dead have been dug up and placed in show homes in the region. In the middle of the bodies and immaculate furniture, Sandra Winckler, the inspector in charge of the case, finds a photo of Paul Maisonneuve, a former legend on the criminal investigation department in Lille.
