Caroline has to defend a 13 year-old accused of murder. Given the child's nonchalant attitude, she investigates further and discovers that he'd killed actually no-one but he wanted to protect his adult brother. Laurent comes to the aid of a friend who is divorcing. Michèle has joined a new law firm but doesn't really feel she belongs there.

Caroline has broken off with her lover, Judge Mathieu Védrine. The latter is set on revenge and makes her life impossible. Robert has taken on a particularly delicate case, defending a childminder accused of being responsible for the death of a child in her care. Driven to despair, the mother demands justice whilst the defendant continues to claim her innocence.

His client turns out to be an odious character who enjoys admitting the facts in front of his lawyer, with neither shame nor regret. Robert defends a woman taking legal action against the marriage bureau where she is registered. Caroline is working on a case of wrongful dismissal.

Michèle represents a woman whose baby died at birth. The plaintiff blames the clinic for being responsible for the death. Caroline defends the head of a pharmaceutical company accused of torturing animals, Robert represents an elderly and very wealthy lady accused by her son of squandering the family fortune. Gladys, who has realised that she doesn't have the wholehearted support of everyone in the firm, seeks to cover herself by seducing Laurent.

The law offices have been burgled and all the files stolen. But, under such conditions, how can they plead effectively? Each lawyer visits their own clients in search of evidence that might point to the person responsible. Is there a connection with one of their current cases?

The situation is serious, both risk an official warning or even a suspension. More than enough to tarnish the firm's reputation. Caroline defends one of her exes, Hervé. Married with a six year-old daughter, in the midst of divorcing, his wife has accused him of sexually abusing their daughter.

Preparing her client's defence, Caroline discovers the horrendous tragedy behind an already sordid affair. Antoine is finding it difficult to come to terms with Michèle's pregnancy and suggests she doesn't keep the baby.

Laurent is appointed to defend a woman in her fifties, accused of killing her husbands and lovers. With Gladys responsible for the loss of a major client, Audrey brings Barbara, an anorexic model seeking to sue her employer.

Robert is working on Barbara's defence; his client is accusing her model agency of pushing young women into prostitution. Michèle defends a homosexual politician outed against his will. Caroline tries to reconcile a couple and their daughter who wants to sue them for lack of food aid.

Gladys is once again defending the "Ogress", working all-hours to free her terrible client despite everyone agreeing on her guilt. She finally manages to dig up a tiny technical flaw in the case, that will effectively enable her to be freed. Robert defends the son of a friend.

Gladys is worried because her father, condemned for rape and domestic violence, will soon be released from prison. As Caroline defends a young woman of good family, suspected of helping a burglar to get away, Laurent is appointed to defend a rapper accused of stabbing one of his friends.

Michèle is appointed to defend Samir, a man accused of having held up a supermarket. A likeable chap, Samir's attitude surprises Michèle. She ends up realising that he is totally innocent of the charges against him. But in that case, why did he confess to a robbery he didn't commit?

Laurent has taken on a somewhat strange case, a member of the armed forces accused of killing three soldiers, but whose bodies remain untraceable. Meanwhile Caroline, unable to overcome her feeling of guilt, ends up resigning and leaves the law firm.

Robert is appointed to defend Forlane, a rock singer accused of having killed her companion. Whilst Gladys is defending a pretentious aristocrat accused of stealing a valuable piece of furniture, Nicolas is busy defending a woman victim of domestic violence.

Nicolas defends a man who has no longer believes in justice. Two years after his divorce, he kidnapped his young daughter because he could no longer stand sharing custody with his ex-wife, considering the conditions unfair to him. Today he continues to refuse to say where he has hidden her.

Elisabeth wants to leave Patrick, but he takes the news particularly badly and threatens her with a knife.

Robert defends Morad Saïd, accused of an attempted terrorist attack on a school. The defendant doesn't say very much and Judge Chapelle is convinced of his guilt. Elisabeth defends a client suffering from an OCD. The law company still has no news of Claire and an investigation has been launched...

Elisabeth defends a young woman who killed a nurse with a pair of scissors. Claire's lawyer's robes have been found in a square. The members of the firm are interviewed individually as part of the investigation into her disappearance.

Robert finds himself plunged back into a case that has been haunting him for years. A skeleton has been found that could be the remains of Lisa Paoli. Robert and his friend, Superintendent Hérard, re-open the case. A new lawyer, Emmanuelle, has been taken on by the law firm.

Robert defends a chiropractor accused of malpractice by incorrectly manipulating a patient and thus preventing him from obtaining a job. Gladys takes on a divorce case that nearly ends in a catastrophe. She is also still living at Laurent's but the arrangement is proving increasingly complicated.

N'Guyen defends a man accused by his partner of acting as her pimp. Emmanuelle takes on the case of a young woman whose four year-old son, left alone one Sunday, died when he threw himself out of the window. At the same time, Emmanuelle's parents die in a helicopter accident.
