From the changing rooms of the swimming pool where they train, Romy and Orson, two disabled swimmers, share their vision of the world, a vision tainted with humour and self-deprecation.
Jan, a provocative artist with varying degrees of success, finds himself on the brink of the precipice with his daughter Marie, an occasional stripper. She blames him for being an absent father and threatens to jump. He decides to tell her stories to keep her attention and stop her from taking the plunge.
Paris, 1963. It's back to school for 13-year-old Anne and her sister Frédérique, who is 15. In their all-girls secondary school, the teaching method remains very strict. In spite of the rules, Frédérique is interested in boys and politics. Anne, for the moment, lives in her sister's shadow.
