Algeria, June 1955. Khadidja leaves Kabylia to join her older brother Malek in Algiers. When the latter is arrested by the police, Khadidja finds herself totally alone. Fortunately, her friends Lyes, Ahmed and Philippe do everything they can to help her find Malek again.

Khadidja se réveille après sa première nuit dans la cabane de Lyes. Il demande alors un grand service à Philippe : lui donner son matelas. En échange, il lui promet de lui faire rencontrer son idole, le boxeur Alphonse Halimi, qui dispute un match à Alger le soir même.

Khadidja a maintenant un matelas mais la cabane est encore bien vétuste, surtout lorsqu'il pleut. La bande au complet se met en route pour le ravin de la Femme Sauvage, un endroit boisé réputé hanté, pour y dénicher de quoi fabriquer un toit.
