Au coeur de la Forêt de l'Oubli, Tomek et Hannah ont réussi à se sortir de justesse des griffes des ours monstrueux qui hantent ces lieux. Mais la jeune fille réalise qu'elle a laissé tomber sa jarre, l'abri de son oiseau Passerine, en plein milieu de la tanière des monstres.
