Mélanie meets master falconers to learn more about the relationship that has existed between birds of prey and man for over 4,000 years. She is taken on a small game hunt and learns about the challenges and culture of this practice.
Mélanie goes to Jean Forest & Fils Farm which has been welcoming Guatemalan foreign workers for almost 20 years. An essential presence for life on this farm which depends on strong family values.
The term Notcimik means forest, where people come from. Mélanie joins the Matakan site in an Indigenous territory, where guides from the Atikamekw community show her the edible and medicinal heritage from this forestry site.
