Fanny takes part in a large-scale exercise involving student paramedics and firefighters. Rebecca and Lucas have to learn to treat their patients whilst reassuring them at the same time. During a training exercise, Hélène comes up against some particularly unpredictable "patients".

First steps in hospital
For Hélène, the exercise to set-up an emergency drip becomes a nightmare. Fanny has to transport Raymonde who has seriously injured a finger. Rebecca looks after Captain Gigi, a patient who's always in a good mood. In the geriatric emergency department, Lucas takes care of a hemiplegic patient.

Fanny attends an emergency call, someone has fainted. Rebecca has to manage Raymond's pain following a major operation. At school, Lucas has to deal with a fictional patient during a lesson on stress management. Hélène is busy giving her patients every possible attention.

Hélène prepares for her humanitarian trip to Tanzania. At the HUG, Lucas saves the life of an elderly person whose heart had almost stopped. Rebecca cares for an autistic patient. Fanny, the paramedic, works Christmas night. After the exams, the graduation ceremony is an emotional moment for everyone's parents.

In Tanzania, Hélène is running a lesson to combat excision and consults in a clinic that offers women access to contraception. Lucas is in search of a job and makes the most of his free time. Fanny takes emergency action to care for a 7 year-old child.
