When Icare, nicknamed Courgette, loses his mother in an accident, he is taken to an orphanage by a policeman called Raymond. There, he gets acquainted with the other children, Simon, Ahmed, Jujube, Alice and Béatrice, who have not had it easy. One day Camille arrives at the orphanage.

Newly arrived in heaven, Jérôme sets off in search of his wife. He gradually finds himself falling ever-deeper into a colourful but totally surrealist world where no-one seems able to help him.
